At Clara Grant we ensure that children are receiving 2 hours of PE/sport each week as set out in government guidelines. We are also aware that children within Tower Hamlets are almost 10% less likely to do at least 3 hours of sport/PE than the national average, so we have a wide range of sporting after school clubs on offer to keep our children active. At Clara Grant, we strive to optimise “school time” (break time, lunchtime and after school) to ensure that organised sports are developed and delivered in a way that will encourage ALL children to participate; enabling more of our pupils to do “at least 3 hours of sport/PE”.
Sports Premium Funding
This funding is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on provision for PE and sport in schools. We will be held accountable for how we have used the additional funding to support pupils progress and participation in PE and school sport. We are required to publish on-line information about how we have used the additional funding, including details about our sporting provision alongside curriculum details. This will ensure that parents/carers and others are made fully aware of the PE and sporting provision at Clara Grant.
Purpose of Sports Premium
To develop or add to the PE and sport activities that our school already offers.
To make improvements now that will benefit pupils joining the school in future years.
